    • You should do a video seminar that day so those of us who have actually worked for you and miss you and would LOVE to attend this event but are stuck in Florida cannot attend. (How's that for a run on sentence?) I hope it goes fantastic for you!

    • If you google it, human cosmetologists have to be licensed and you can then be a master color specialist through one of the organizations or companies (like Wella). Nothing on animals because, as we have discussed ad nauseum, there is no such thing as licensing for groomers.Maybe the person is a cosmetologist for humans and has branched out to animals?

    • The Airedale Terrier Club of IL and Heather Roozee are having a hands on class for grooming the Airedale Terrier. We will be covering hand stripping, clipping, retaining color and texture when clipping, and all aspects of grooming an Airedale Terrier for pet and show.     • This class was Great!!! Loads of fun and very informative. I even made the front pg of local newspaper. Thats not really saying much, we're pretty rural but still feels cool.

      The class with be at Hair of the Dog Grooming, 211 N. 5th Street, Leavenworth KS. It starts at 10 am. You will need to bring your own table and hand tools.

      " Lets start with clean dogs. It will be a time saver and we can get good color. Cut down any excessive coat you are going to have BUT LEAVE ENOUGH FOR WIGGLE ROOM we can always cut more off but cannot put it back on. I will want to hear from everyone in an email before I come so I know what you guys want to achieve on your dogs. And we will go over what you will be bringing to the class"

    • This is the most affordable class ever! Special price is for my Lounge friends old and new. I will have some color kits available but you may want to email me with a list of what you would like me to bring for you. Suitcase space will be limited since Brook and I will be flying in.

    • The Groomers Lounge is proud to present Dawn Omboy, the Queen of Color, December 2, 2012 in Leavenworth, Kansas.

      Class starts at 10 am with Dawn doing demos and giving her expertise on all things color. We will break for lunch (provided) and then do hands on for those bringing dogs.


      The cost is $75 or $120 if you bring a dog for the hands on portion. Lunch will be provided.


      Please bring a table and your hand tools. Some color will be available, but if you have something specific in mind for your dog, please bring your own to be sure there is enough.
