Customizing rolling tool box
I'm so excited! After researching grooming boxes, rolling make-up boxes and tool boxes, I decided to replace my beat up tool box with the same style and customize it. It fit most of my equipment, including a high force dryer but my scissors and blades always ended up on the top tray and if the tool box tipsped over, there awere damages. Now, I have a styrofoam lined area with a leather cover for most of the blades, pouches for scissors and hemostats on the inside of the lid, and a piece of tile that I gorilla glued to the top tray for blade cooling. I haven't decided if I will cut down the old tray so I have another below the top tray. I need to balance the weight to reduce tipping over and limit how far open the lid will go, as extreme opening stresses the hinges. I used leather that I had cut from an old couch for the pouches and for the lid for the blades. Now I get to try to glue the pouches to the inside of the lid. I'm hoping this will be much easier to use, better for my equipment, and easier to clean.
I'm thinking about putting a hinged hook under my tables at both ends to hook the lid handle to, to help prevent tipping over too.
